I love how New Zealand guys' streetwear has grown up, finally self assured enough to act smart and look sharp. Like the guys who've recently created a line of genuine leather, handcrafted belts called Cut & Run (with other products like the Sack under development), or newish menswear brands Moreporks and Americus, with a creator who's in his mid teens. Perhaps they've been inspired by the success of New Zealand label I love Ugly, or the evolution of Lower clothing and its more sophisticated brother brand, On & On. Whatever the catalyst for this new age of casual style, I'm glad. Now we just need to eradicate puffer jackets.
