I love seeing the personal projects of otherwise 'corporate' graphic designers. I think that often, the stuff we do in our own time should be the stuff we do full time...
I happened upon on the website and portfolio of young NZ graphic designer (recent graduate) Hannah Dollery...this talented girlyface won a Silver BeST Award as a design student, loves typography as much as me and runs a pretty sweet little blog too.
I just wanted to show you one of her personal projects, the Sit On It stool. (Not sure about the suitability of the name to the aesthetic but) I like the design a lot. We should all do more personal projects!

hey dig that stool, Hannah has got skilllllssss for such a young designer
ReplyDeleteWahoo! 'Sit on this' was an exhibition curated by George Whiting. He designed and made the stools and gave them out to artists and designers to create something new! Great idea, and a great chance to have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave to say that doesn't look to comfortable....
ReplyDeleteAaah so that's where Sit On This comes in...well I love what you did with it!
