No, no, not Photoshop - these sweet images were produced using a manual process known as TtV - Through the the Viewfinder. Just as it sounds, you take a picture of something through the viewfinder of any camera, with another camera. The result is a real vintage feel with super soft focus, dust and scratches...
The photographer featured here, Elam School of Fine Arts graduate Hilary Upton, explains further: "To block out any light or reflections, I created and used a black card-like sleeve... Once you have captured the shot you are left with an image among a sea of black to which you then crop in Photoshop leaving the curved black frame of the photograph..."
